Announcer (Danny):Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another segment of the Rant and Rave Hour! Our contestant today is....*cue upbeat music* Sarah Nichols! Welcome Miss Nichols. Now would you like to "rant" or "Rave"?

Sarah: Well, Danny, I think I want to "Rant" today.

Announcer (Danny): Excellent! You have two choices a) "My Clinical Placement is Stupid" or b) "My College has gone on strike with no regard for the students".

Sarah: Well, Danny, I think I have to go with the second choice "My College has gone on strike with no regard for the students".

Announcer (Danny): Ok, you have 60 seconds to make your rant! You may begin!

Sarah: Well, you see the key issue here is that the professors have gone on strike with no regard for their students. I am graduating this year, and this is a pain in the a$$. Now, luckily, I am part of a university colloborative program, so a contingency plan is in place which will allow me to complete my coursework on time, but this is an exception. Even those students in the lower levels of the program will be affected, not to mention the thousands of students in colleges all accross Ontario. OPSEU has affected our lives and our education. They have no regard for the fact that we are paying them to go to school and earn a "higher education". We as students should not have to stand for this injustice! I am appalled and disusted at the level of unprofessionalism that is being demonstrated by this union!

Announcer (Danny): Thank you Sarah! Your time is up! However, we encourage our viewers to comment on this strike. Do you think that college and university professors should be classified as "essential services"? Do you think that they have the right to go on strike so close to the end of the school year?

So I decided to upload a few more pics. Here's some more of my artwork.

This is just a sketch of some holly berries that I did around Christmastime. But, being the person I am, I never finished them.

This is a picture of a rat (obviously) that I did in colored ink washes.

This is just a penciled landscape.
Men need women

There is a reason that God made Adam first and Eve second. There is a reason why God said Adam needed a helper.

Here's a case in point: last week my brother and I made hamburgers. We have a griddle. Generally speaking the griddle is a pain to clean, but it's not exactly hard. You grab a scouring pad, get a little soap....scrub scrub scrub....and POOF! it's clean. So I say to my brother, I'll do the dishes, you clean the griddle. So I do the dishes, he had to go do something, but was coming back to clean it.

I come into the kitchen a few minutes later. My brother has somehow managed to fit half the griddle into the sink (electric plug and all) and is standing there with a helpless look on his face.

"How do I clean this? It doesn't fit in the sink."

That is why God made women second. He knew men needed a helper.
